About Us
Last updated: 23 July 2026
nfl Betting Markets is an independent editorial publication covering UK-facing NFL betting markets. We are written for British and Irish readers who follow American football, want to understand how UK sportsbooks price the sport, and want a sober reference point that is not produced by an operator, an affiliate sales team or a tipster service.
Our editorial mission
We exist to make UK NFL betting markets legible to the British and Irish public. That means explaining the markets and odds formats UK punters actually encounter, mapping the regulatory framework set by the UK Gambling Commission and HMRC, and putting British home-soil fixtures in London and Dublin in their proper commercial and sporting context. We do not recommend operators, we do not run an affiliate programme, and we do not publish tips or selections.
Who writes the content
All articles are produced by the editorial team of nfl Betting Markets. Where an article carries a byline, that byline identifies the editorial role responsible for the piece, not an individual personality. We do this on purpose: editorial accountability sits with the publication as a whole, not with named contributors who can be marketed around. Where an article references the experience or working method of a contributor, that reference describes a real working method used by the editorial team.
How we research and source
Our reporting standard is that every quantitative claim must be tied to a verifiable public source. The sources we rely on most are:
- The UK Gambling Commission, for licence conditions, statistics on gross gambling yield, and policy consultations.
- HM Revenue and Customs, for gambling duty rates and changes to General Betting Duty and Remote Gaming Duty.
- NFL UK and the National Football League, for fixture lists, attendance data and audience figures.
- UK and Irish national press, for reporting on commercial deals, sponsorships and stadium agreements.
- Operator-published terms, for documented bonus rules, market availability and stated trading practice.
We do not source figures from other affiliate sites, tipster blogs or social media accounts. Where industry research is cited, it is from a named research provider whose methodology is publicly described.
How we verify claims
Before publication, every numeric claim and every regulatory date in an article is checked by an editor against the original source document. Quoted figures are reproduced as published; we do not round into harder-sounding numbers. Where two reputable sources disagree, the article says so and explains why we have used one figure rather than the other. Where a figure has a known publication date, that date is included so the reader can judge whether the number is still current.
How we handle dates and updates
Articles carry a visible “Updated” date that reflects the most recent substantive review. When a regulatory change, fixture confirmation or commercial deal materially affects an article, the article is updated and the date is moved forward; smaller copy edits are made silently. We do not retroactively rewrite articles to make past commentary look more accurate.
How we handle commercial relationships
nfl Betting Markets does not accept paid placements, sponsored articles, affiliate links or operator-funded content. We do not have commercial agreements with sportsbooks, gambling affiliates or odds-comparison networks. If that ever changes, the change will be disclosed in writing on this page before any commercial content appears.
Our position on responsible gambling
We write about a regulated adult product. Every article addresses an audience aged 18 or over and assumes readers are betting within their own affordability. We link to GamCare, GAMSTOP and the NHS gambling-addiction service in the footer of every page, and we do not present betting as a route to income, second income or financial planning.
Corrections
If you find a factual error in an article, please contact the editors. Confirmed errors are corrected promptly, and any correction that affects the meaning of a paragraph is noted in the article itself with the date of correction.
Contact
Editorial enquiries, correction requests and reasoned criticism can be sent to the editors of nfl Betting Markets via the contact route published on the site.
